Soccer Uniforms - Look Great While You Play Great

Soccer uniforms are worn by millions of soccer players around the world every day.

They wear the colors and logos of professional soccer teams, or a color scheme of their own club. The options are endless.

If you are helping your child's youth soccer team to pick out uniforms, or are new to the game, you should understand that a soccer uniform is more than just a soccer jersey.

The uniform consists of:

Soccer Jersey
Soccer Shorts
Soccer Socks

The Soccer Jersey

Choosing a soccer jersey color will depend on your local clubs preferences, or of course your team's sponsor. You can now get your uniforms in any color or design that you want. Be bold if you like. This is your team's identity we are talking about.

Most jerseys now are made from synthetic material that will prevent moisture from being absorbed. However these will be more expensive.

If your team wants to be more traditional you could go with the original. Cotton. Just remember that on rainy days the cotton will really suck up the water and weigh you down.

Soccer Shorts

The soccer shorts should complement the color scheme of the jersey. They also should not be extremely baggy as this will not help your performance. You don't want them to bunch up and cause you to trip, ever!

Baggy shorts may be all the rage, but they don't belong on the soccer field. Choose a length that is comfortable enough so that players get freedom to make the moves that they will need to make during a game. The last thing a soccer player wants is to feel that their movement is restricted.

Soccer Socks

These socks are knee high and flexible so they will serve the tow purposes for which they were designed. They should complement the jersey and shorts, and they have to be long and strong enough to hold your soccer shinguards in place.

Soccer Goalies

Keep in mind that soccer goalies wear a uniform that is different than the field player. Soccer goalies must wear a color that is different from their own team, and the opposing team, so a referee can easily identify the goalkeeper.

A soccer goalie also gets to wear a long sleeve shirt, with some elbow padding, and shorts that usually have some padding on the sides. This helps to absorb some of the pressure of those frequent dives for the ball. They will sometimes wear long goalkeeper pants depending on field and weather conditions.

Goalkeepers also get to wear goalkeeper gloves to ensure that they get a good grip on those shots that rain down on them.

Youth Football Quarterback Drills To Improve Your Passing Techniques

Image : http://www.flickr.com

I am a former NFL Quarterback, and I have some great quarterback training drills to talk about today. These youth qb drills will help improve mobility, ball security and their response to various situations that come up in the course of a game.

Drill #1. Globetrotter

This is an excellent drill for ball security. Quarterbacks work the football in a circular motion around their head, under their arms, around their waist, around their knees, around each knee, weaving through their legs and finally "playing catch" between their legs.

The coach shout commands of which body part the ball revolves around--usually starting with the head and working downwards. Coaches also shout the command "reverse" which changes the direction the ball is rotating. This should be done numerous times.

The drill concludes with five 'drops'--the quarterback dropping the ball and then grabbing it. This is done with five drops with the power hand and five drops with the off- hand.

Drill #2. Toss sweep and option drill

Set up a line of quarterbacks holding footballs with the coach in the "Running/Pitch Back" position. The coach should be in a position behind and off to the side of the quarterback--where a running back would be receiving a toss sweep or an option pitch.

The quarterback faces away from the coach/running back in a position where he would be taking a snap from center. Quarterback reverses out and executes a toss sweep to the coach. (This simulates either a toss sweep or a quick pitch play.)

You then move to the other side until all have executed the pitch. Then the beginning quarterback again executes the pitch to the coach and all other quarterbacks follow till all have executed a pitch both to the right and to the left.

Now the quarterback executes an option pitch in the same manner. If the type of option your team runs has an inside or outside veer dive fake then this can be simulated in the drill by the quarterback. In the option phase of the drill the coach yells "pitch" and the quarterback breaks down and executes a pitch stepping towards the "pitch" man/coach.

Drill #3. Knee drill

Two quarterbacks start with their right knees on the ground, facing each other ten yards apart. One quarterback has a ball on the ground next to his right leg. The quarterback picks up the ball with his power hand, puts the ball to his ear with his off- hand also on the ball and throws it to his partner quarterback across from him. The partner QB catches the ball, places it on the ground and does exactly the same thing throwing the ball back.

The quarterbacks continue playing catch in this manner while the coach helps them with the finer points of their throwing techniques: leading with the throwing elbow, ball at ear and pointing first with wrist and then index finger upon release of the ball.

Drill #4. Three and Five Step drop and wave drill

Two quarterbacks start (one with a ball) facing each other 15 yards apart. The coach stands about seven yards from the quarterback with the ball. Quarterback with the ball faces the coach in an "under center" position.

The coach gives a command and the quarterback executes a three- step drop with his feet "chopping/firing" on his third plant step. The coach then gives visual directions with his hands (such as improving quarterback focus by keeping eyes forward) and the quarterback executes a wave drill moving right, left, forward and back.

The quarterback with very short choppy steps only moves 2-3 feet in the drill in each direction. The last command by the coach is to "throw" to the partner. The coach then turns around and executes the drill with the partner quarterback.

Key points of emphasis:

Stand tall.

Qb's must make a very quick in his drop and with his foot movement.

Make sure your head is constantly forward the entire time watching the coach. Once completed, the drill can also be executed for a five or seven- step drop.

Drill #5. Boot/Sprint out and throw

Two quarterbacks start (one with a ball) facing each other 10 yards apart but staggered so one quarterback is 15 yards to the right of the quarterback with the ball. The coach stands roughly equidistant between both quarterbacks.

The quarterback with the ball faces forward in an "under center" position. On the coaches' command the quarterback executes a bootleg, faking a handoff to his left, and then bootlegging to his right and throwing the ball to his partner quarterback. The quarterback who just completed the throw returns to his original position. The coach turns around and has the partner quarterback execute the drill.

Once the boot phase is completed the quarterbacks complete the drill using sprint out techniques. Then both quarterbacks move ten yards up field and turn around so they can execute the drill to the left side. This continues until the coach determines a sufficient amount of repetitions have been completed.

Drill #6. Throw on the run drill

Two quarterbacks face each other 15 yards apart with one quarterback having a ball. As the quarterback with the ball begins "running" towards his partner, the partner backpedals. The quarterback with the ball throws the ball to his partner.

As his partner catches the ball he now begins to run forward with the other qbnow back peddling. The qb run and backpedal as they play catch with the football until the coach determines a sufficient amount of repetitions have been completed.

Summary

In all of these drills the coach is working with the qbs on perfecting their techniques in throwing, executing a toss sweep or option pitch and establishing proper footwork. Special attention to the focus of the eyes and footwork in these drills will do a great deal to improve the efficiency and quickness of the qb's.

Soccer Goalkeeper Jersey - Proper Gear of a Soccer Goalkeeper

Image : http://www.flickr.com

A soccer goalkeeper jersey is an outfit with specific design and aesthetic for a tough game of soccer. Being a goalkeeper is one of the toughest positions in the game. Sometimes a team's victory relies on the skill and agility of the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is on the frontline, very much exposed to risk of injuries from opponents who will do their best to the shot for a goal.

With this condition, the goalkeeper needs to be equipped with the proper jersey that can provide the best protection and comfort from the extreme actions of the sport. The goalkeeper's jersey is different from the others for easy identification and usually stands out from the rest.

The ideal jersey must be made of materials that have moisture management that will keep the player comfortable and cool during the game. The pants must have the best padding that can endure the toughest impact during collisions. The socks for the goalkeeper are longer than the usual socks, mostly above the knee and the shin guards are hidden under the socks to protect from any injuries.

Gloves are also one of the soccer goalkeeper jerseys which are also very important. The glove must have a good padding. It must have an anti slip material and features finger spines in order to easily hold the ball and must have a comfortable grip.

Because of the tough role, a goalkeeper deserves to have the best gears in order to handle to hardest shots and the impact of opponents trying to make their best shot for the goal.

Improve Football Performance - Self Hypnosis to Help With Football

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If you want to improve football performance, you need to put your mind into the game. Anyone who plays sports with great success knows that focus is extremely important. Whether you plan to play in the NFL or for your college team, you can experience vast improvement through self-hypnosis.

Winning Frame of Mind

Your coach has probably told you that you need to be in the winning frame of mind to do your best at the sport. You can improve football performance by developing that winning frame of mind with great conviction. There is no point in going through the motions. You need to believe that you have the ability to win.

This requires you to shed your doubts and lack of confidence in your abilities. You may do this on a conscious level, exercising your positive thoughts as much as you do your body. This only goes so far. You have a vast subconscious that has a set of beliefs and its own thought processes.

Subconscious Frame of Mind

You are able to improve football performance by addressing your subconscious mind directly through self-hypnosis. This helps you work on a different level to remove doubt and indecision and replace them with confidence and decisiveness.

Indecisiveness can keep you from performing well. You probably know that a split second can make all the difference when on the field. A moment's hesitation can ruin a play, make you miss your target receiver or let the ball slip through your hands.

Repairing Broken Confidence

Everyone who has played football has had a bad experience at one time or another. This is just part of the game. Some may have difficulty shaking this off. When you get stuck on a certain problem in your game, your confidence is broken, making the mistake your focus.

A prime example is the guy who fumbles the ball on the last play of the game. He becomes so stressed out about fumbling again that he winds up doing just that during the next game. This can send him into a spiral of fumble after fumble.

The problem is that he is thinking so much about fumbling the ball that he can't help but do it repeatedly. Self-hypnosis can help the fumbler shake off his past error and move on. The focus moves to playing the best game he can rather than on losing the ball.

Improve Football Performance

Your mind and your body work together to make you the best football player you can be. Self-hypnosis is a powerful tool that can help you stay focused on winning the game. This process allows you to remove doubt and indecisiveness.

Self-hypnosis can help you develop motivation as you enhance your performance on the field. The more success you experience, the more confident you become in your abilities. This helps you stay focused on winning the game. You can improve football performance if you put your mind to it.

Soccer Jerseys - For Your Team Or Supporting Your Favorite Side

"The Game of Soccer is Identified by the Jersey"

Soccer jerseys are easily noticed from a distance. They are distinct and are unique to soccer. Because they are a source of pride, many people wear them for any occasion. Not just watching a game.

They are a great way to reflect your individual team's identity, or to show what club or national side you cheer for. The pride that you take in your team, is reflected by the jersey on your back.

Soccer jerseys fall into 2 categories:

Replica Jerseys

Available for all club teams and national teams around the world.
Available in sizes to fit children to adults.
Many are becoming available especially for women, as they are a huge part of the fan base.
Home and away versions.
A fun way to support your favorite club.
Great gift idea for soccer fans.

Soccer Uniform Jerseys

The most important part of soccer uniforms.
Reflects your teams identity.
You can get replica jerseys for your team.
You can choose standard team colors.
Many sellers will create a design just for your team.

Materials!

Original soccer jerseys were made of cotton. These soccer jerseys could be thick and soak up a lot of moisture. Whether it was rain or sweat, your jersey got a lot heavier as the game wore on. That could affect performance as it stuck to your body.

As soccer grew, the jersey material also evolved. Soccer groups worked with clothing manufacturers to create materials that would absorb less moisture and were lighter. That is when synthetic, and dry technology material took over.

Designs!

Just as the materials were simple, the designs were simple too. At the start, solid colors of white and dark were the norm. Could you imagine that most jerseys even had collars? Or laces and buttons? However most are now without collars.

Now the designs are limited only by the imagination. Club teams and their sponsors treat their soccer shirts as marketing vehicles to promote themselves. While sales of individual soccer stars jerseys continue to increase in popularity.

Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Beckham, Zidane, and Thierry Henry are some of the more popular ones.

"Whatever your need, replica jersey, or soccer uniform jersey, you will be able to find one to wear with pride."

PassBack Football - Product Review

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Why is the PassBack Football the focus of this product review? Because it is football training equipment that is designed as a quarterback training aid helping quarterbacks improve their passing skills. Receivers and defensive backs can use this football training aid to develop better catching skills, in simple words, the PassBack football works.

What is the Passback Football? It is a regular size football cut in half just past the middle of the ball. The cut half has a solid rubber covering. When the football is thrown against a flat surface like a wall, the ball comes right back to the passer.

How is PassBack Football a quarterbacks training aid? Easy, more reps. A quarterback can practice his grip and pass delivery up to 20 reps per minute. Catching the ball on the rebound develops stronger fingers, stronger fingers means more ball control.

Since there are no elastic cords needed to retrieve the ball the PassBack Football is user friendly and at only $29.99 very affordable.

How is PassBack Football a receivers training aid? Until now, football receivers needed work out partners to throw passes. Not with the PassBack football. Now all a receiver needs is this football training equipment and a large flat wall. Receivers can take up to 20 catches per minute, focusing on developing soft hands, catching the ball with fingers. Passing the ball at different angles and speeds gives receivers more diversified workouts, making it easier for receivers to practice that one handed catch.

Linebackers and defensive backs need to develop soft hands and good reactions to make those interceptions. The PassBack Football is the ideal football training aid for practicing catching and getting more picks.

Cheap Football Tops and Where to Find Them

The average price of a football top is probably around the £40 mark, which is far too much for the majority of fans. I think it's about time that fans started to take action to ensure the cost of official merchandise and football tops specifically returns to a more acceptable price.

Football clubs have to reach a compromise on their shirts in my opinion, especially those that change their designs every single season for both their home and away tops. Either they agree that a shirt that will only be used for one season should be sold at a lesser cost, or that they will keep a design for at least two years. From where I'm standing, that's the only reasonable compromise. And if the clubs won't agree to it, then I think one of the governing bodies needs to step in.

Parents are the worst sufferers in the football shirt debacle, as kids always demand the latest tops. Not only that, but because they're always growing they need to have their shirts replaced regularly anyway. Kids football tops normally retail about £10 less than their adult counterparts but this difference is normally erased as children like to have names printed on the back, which is also a costly affair.

Lets do some simple maths. If a man buys a home football shirt every season at the cost of £40 and then shells out another £30 to buy his child the same top, then that's £70 a year. When you take into account the price of tickets, that's too much in my opinion. But what's the solution? Well, there are a few ideas I'd like to see discussed. The first is to give supporters a reduction on shirts if they've purchased a season ticket. This is a logical step and rewards the most loyal fans immediately. I think that any adult sized football shirt purchased should immediately grant the buyer the right to get a child's shirt for half price. These are only a few ideas but could have a positive effect on how clubs deal with shirt sales.

There are cheap football tops available already of course from a handful of online suppliers. All internet shops can afford to sell shirts at less than the normal high street price, but many choose not to do so as they know all too well that people are still willing to pay top dollar for their teams colours. Hopefully, this will change and sooner rather than later.

Soccer for children - Step eat pork.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

It's fall, and the weather is beautiful outside . . . at least where we live. So, it is a great time to spend some time outdoors with your kids. This weekend, my husband took our 6 year old son outside to throw the football. Excited, which you may have figured out is just part of my son's personality, was an understatement. Our little boy was ecstatic about the idea of having his dad to himself outside, for some one-on-one time.

My husband, who has coached children's football in years past, first drew the football field in the dirt and explained the basics of the game to our son. Then, they went out to a clear spot in the yard to throw the ball. He showed our son techniques for holding the ball, throwing it, and catching it. Here are some of the tricks and tips he shared:

Throwing the Football:
1. Hold the ball in your throwing hand. Place your fingers on the laces, then slide your hand toward the back of the ball so that only the 4th and 5th fingers touch the laces. Your throwing hand should hug the ball, but still allow a little light to pass between the football and the palm of the hand. If your child is too small, there may be no room for light to pass. This is okay.
2. The ball should be balanced in the hand and pulled back next to the ear. If your child is unable to balance the ball with just his or her throwing hand, then the other hand may be used on the side of the ball to balance it until release of the ball.
3. Prior to throwing the ball, position the feet shoulder width apart, with the opposite foot from the throwing arm forward. When the ball is thrown, the arm should travel forward across the body and to the opposite hip. Follow through with your arm, even after releasing the ball, to the hip.

Catching the Football:
1. The biggest key to catching the ball is to stay loose. If you stiffen up, then the ball will bounce right out of your hands. Tell your son or daughter to dance around, wiggle, squirm, then throw the ball before he or she has a chance to stiffen back up. They'll look silly doing this, but they'll be shocked when they catch the ball the first time.
2. If you are catching a ball below the belly button, hold the hands open, side by side, with little fingers together.
3. If you are catching a ball above the belly button, hold the hands open with thumbs together.
Once the ball is in hand, pull it into the body.

Get And enjoy the garden football. It is a fun time with your children here. Time with them is that no one can replace us. In addition to greet you all. Enjoy!

Tell your loyalty to the team with the football jersey.

It is a sport played by millions of people around the world. Boys and girls, men and women, from all walks of life and from nearly every nation on earth; soccer boasts a pool of players that is vaster and varied than possibly any other sport. Soccer’s appeal is understandable; not only is it a fun and exciting game to play, it is a sport that nearly anyone can play as the only thing you really need is a ball and your feet. However, that is not to say that there is not more to soccer than the ball, and fans and players of organized soccer know that the importance of the soccer jersey cannot be understated.

A soccer jersey can convey the personality of your team. From the colors to your team crest or logo; your team's soccer jersey is what makes the first impression on your opponents. If you are the coach or organizer of a youth team, or even a team of older and more experienced players, then selecting a jersey with the right look is an important part of your job. Online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores alike offer selections of jerseys as well as the ability to put names and numbers on the back, just like those seen on the jerseys of the professionals.

Like jerseys in other sports, fans of soccer also like to wear the colors and crest of their favorite teams and favorite players. The unmistakable colors and cuts of the most famous soccer jerseys are clearly identifiable, even from a distance, and wearing them allows fans to make a statement of loyalty to their beloved club. However, simply wearing the soccer jersey of your favorite team is only one way that soccer fans enjoy the thrill of wearing an official jersey. The worldwide appeal of soccer gives fans of the game hundreds of ways to add new jerseys to their collection.

What true soccer fan can not appreciate the appeal of wearing the colors of great teams like AC Milan or Manchester United? And with combinations of home and away colors, as well as short and long sleeve versions, even the love of a single team can spawn a collection of several jerseys. Further, there is more to loving soccer than loving a single team. The various leagues around the world can make it easy to have several teams to root for, and each has their own distinctive collections of jerseys that fans will covet.

Rooting for specific teams is one way that people find themselves collecting jerseys, but rooting for favorite players might be even more popular. Wearing a soccer jersey with the names of great players on the back is as popular in soccer as it is in other sports. Ronaldinho, Beckham, Zidane, Ronaldo, are just a few names of soccer greats that adorn so many jerseys. And of course, let us not forget the ever popular Pele, who is still a popular choice decades after his playing career has ended.

Favorite teams and players aside, perhaps nothing catches the imagination of soccer fans like the World Cup. It is a time when team alliances are put aside and patriotism rules the day. With 198 nations fielding teams, and 32 of those teams making it to the final tournament, the World Cup is an event that drives soccer fans all over the world to purchase a new soccer jersey that conveys their national pride.

Whether you are wearing team jersey or shirt of the team will play the root of the Internet you will find the best-played football jersey or colors.

Football Place Kickers - How to kick the field goal.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The purpose of this article is to discuss place kicking, teaching football kickers the art of kicking field goals. We will take you through the steps necessary to become a successful place kicker.

The tips written here are for soccer style place kickers.

1. Positioning the ball:

The place kicker lines up 7 yards behind the center. For practice purposes, start out about 20 yards from the goal posts. The ball should have a slight backwards tilt whether it is being set by the holder or placed in a kicking tee.

2. Positioning the place kicker:

1st. Take one stride backwards from where the ball will be placed.

2nd. Take two or more strides, depending on your comfort zone, to the side, measuring off the distance from where the ball will be addressed.

3rd. It is very important place kickers always measure off the same distance regardless of the distance needed to kick the field goal.

4th. The proper angle for addressing and kicking the ball. Successful place kickers come in on the ball from half the distance of their side steps. Should field goal kickers take 6 steps to the side, they want to take 3 steps in as the approach and kick the ball.

3. Look at the up rights, visualize the ball sailing through, splitting the goal posts.

4. Approaching the ball for the place kick:

1st: Sort of jab at the ground with the plant foot to start the forward momentum.

2nd. Take the firs step with the kicking foot.

3rd. Begin coming in towards half the distance stepped out.

4th. As you are ready to kick the ball, starting at the heel firmly get the plant foot planted in the ground.

5th. The plant foot should be pointing straight towards the goal posts, even with the ball and about one foot from the ball.

5. Kicking the ball

1st.Resting the weight on the plant foot, make sure the body is facing the goal posts.

2nd. Strike the ball with the upper bone of the center of the foot.

3rd. Kick the ball in the lower third, otherwise you risk topping the ball. Kicking Lower on the ball adds height.

4th. Keep the head down and follow through extending the kicking leg as far as possible. Lifting the head early can cause the ball to go to the right for right footed kickers and left for left footed kickers.

Kickers should do about 20 minutes of warm up exercises before practicing. These warm ups should include Avoid exercise, stretching, muscle damage and the best place is real. Remember, do not have the quality and quantity of building successful field goal kicker.

Brett Favre Jersey - also a record of all time.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

In his 17 years in the NFL, Brett Favre has broken a lot of records, including most touchdown passes, most passing yards, most passing attempts, most passing completions, most wins by a starting quarterback, most consecutive starts, and most NFL MVP awards, just to name a few.

But, Brett Favre has broken yet another record - one that seems to have flown under the radar, for the most part. This was a record that he broke OFF the field.

League officials from the NFL have announced that Brett Favre football jerseys are now the all-time best selling jerseys in the history of the game. More #4 Brett Favre football jerseys have been sold than any other jersey for any player, including NFL greats such as Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino, or Johnny Unitas.

What makes this record even more amazing is that Favre managed to break this record while playing in the NFL's smallest market. It could be said that football jersey sales are the greatest measure of fan popularity, because fans vote for their favorites with their wallets. In any case, this record is certainly evident of the fact that Brett Favre's appeal is wide-spread among the NFL fan base. He couldn't have set the all-time jersey sales record by only selling jerseys in Green Bay. It just isn't big enough, even with multiple jerseys being purchased by the same person.

That's right - many fans own several Brett Favre football jerseys, as there are many to pick from. There are home jerseys, away jerseys, throwback jerseys, pro-bowl jerseys, game-used jerseys, autographed jerseys, youth jerseys, women's jerseys, pink jerseys, and yellow sparkle jerseys. There are even Brett Favre football jerseys for your dog and your baby, so no one feels left out.

You may get left out, though, if you don't act fast. According to Reebok, the official outfitter of the NFL, Brett Favre football jerseys are so popular that they are selling at a 96% more than in 2006 - figures. Comparable sales by 29% Jersey Peyton Manning and Tom Brady with 57% during the same period.

Soccer Jersey - Issues of identity.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Nothing identifies the game as much as the soccer jerseys. The jersey is probably the most important part of the uniform. It doesn’t matter if it's a club or national team; the soccer jersey is typical and unique of the game. One can tell if a person is using a soccer jersey from miles away, and it is used not only by soccer fans but also because a lot of the jerseys have nice designs and lines to them, which allows people to wear them in practically any occasion.

The soccer jersey has suffered a lot of changes over the years. In the beginning, the jerseys were made mostly out of cotton and were relatively thick in comparison to the modern ones. This was a disadvantage because when the players used to sweat the shirt would get heavier and stick to the body.

Old day soccer jerseys were quite simple as far as design goes, usually white or dark and had polo like collars to them with laces or buttons. Some people don’t know this, but the famous Brazilian yellow shirt we see today wasn’t always yellow. In fact, it was white with blue collars. This uniform was used until the famous defeat to Uruguay in 1950.

As the years went by, the soccer uniform developed together with the textile industry. Another reason is because the game became more and more popular and more and more competitive.

There was a point where the soccer jersey wasn't cotton anymore and started to be made with synthetic material. This made the jersey much lighter than the cotton ones and doesn't stick to the body as much as the cotton ones. Together with the material change, design changes were being made, especially the colors. Most jerseys still had polo like collars. The more modern soccer jerseys are made with special dry technology material that doesn’t get wet and doesn't stick to the player's body.

Nowadays, clubs and National teams use the soccer jersey for marketing strategies, with the name or logo of big companies on the shirt. Soccer fans in general buy a lot of soccer jerseys, especially the jersey with the club they support and their national team. Selling jerseys with the name of famous soccer players brings the sales up quite a lot, especially when these players are well wanted by the fans. It is very common to see jerseys with names like Ronaldinho, Beckham, Zidane, Ronaldo, Henry, Deco, Kaká and so many other famous players who are popular with the fans who support the teams they play for but also by soccer fans in general. The national soccer teams are also quite responsible for the selling of jerseys, especially the Brazilian, Argentine, German, Italian, English and French jerseys.

The soccer jersey manufacturers use a lot of marketing to sell their products and even come out with special edition jerseys and other Marketing Campaign.

Jersey Jersey is not just football, but identity. It is a passion of supporters who supported the team for two for certain.

Arsenal ARSHAVIN

In the build up to the weekend’s matches Andrey Arshavin gave an insightful and honest interview on the state of Arsenal’s current squad. The comments were construed as negative and abrasive by many yet surely it can be helpful to have some honesty in football?
The answer to this question could only ever be answered at full time on Sunday evening. By then Arshavin’s words would either have inspired his team-mates to perform against Chelsea, or his comments would have been confirmed in another defeat at the hands of a major rival. Unfortunately for all Arsenal fans it was the latter, despite a spirited performance from Arsene Wenger’s side.
So was Arshavin so wrong to criticise his teammates so publicly in between two of the biggest games of Arsenal’s season? Arshavin was quoted in the Daily Mail on the 5th Feb;
Third place is where we stand today, and that is already a great success for Arsenal when you take into account the class of our eleven players
If Arsenal want to become champions, how can they select Arshavin as centre forward?
I am 173cm and it suits me, but next to the big centre halves of United it is very difficult to fight for the ball, especially in the air
Such comments are brutally honest, and make a welcome change from the ‘game of two halves’ and ‘we just didn’t perform today’ brigade of player comments which normally fill the papers in the aftermath of a game.
The comments themselves are also far from unique amongst Arsenal debates this season. Arsenal fans are divided with a considerable percentage frustrated and even angry at Arsene Wenger and his lack of transfer activity. Critics of Wenger regularly point to the use of Arshavin as a lone striker as a sign of madness and incompetence in the transfer window. So why can’t Arshavin think the same way? He is the person who gets battered by centre halves for 90 minutes, with little support so he has as much right as the fans to be angry about the situation.
The problem however with the comments is that they show a lack of professionalism. Arshavin is a professional footballer and he is paid to play football and not to criticise his boss or teammates. It shows a lack of team spirit in the squad and more worryingly a lack of belief. Cast your mind back to William Gallas and his on pitch outburst after a disappointing performance against Birmingham City in 2008, and the damaging impact it had on Arsenal that season. In both situations it shows a weakness in the squad and if it is not constructive then the only winners are the opposition.
Of course players argue, have disagreements and get frustrated with teammates. Arshavin is a world class player and had his pick of the top European clubs before signing for Arsenal, and he is used to winning and being successful. His frustration at coming 3rd in the Premier League is that he can do better, unlike some of his teammates. Although they may disagree with Arshavin’s outburst it would take a very passionate Arsenal fan to say that they don’t, even slightly, see his point of view.
In the season run-in Arshavin has a serious responsibility. If he does not rate some of his teammates it is imperative that he plays better than them. He has had a quiet season, by his standards, and surely if he is critical of the talent in the squad, his own star quality should be shining through.
Although I welcome such honesty from a professional footballer, the outburst has, for the time being, backfired on Arshavin. At times on Sunday though there was a tenacity and energy from Arsenal, which although little solace, must be promising to Arsenal fans and Arshavin alike. Their rivals will drop points and a united team effort by Arsenal, inspired by the likes of Arshavin and Fabregas can still compete for the title this season.
