Cheap football shirts should be everywhere, but they're not because clubs refuse to lower their prices. I'm of the opinion however that this should be something they consider, as when you think about the value you get out of them, it's actually not that great.

I buy my clubs home football shirt every couple of seasons and pay the standard forty quid, which by any stretch of the imagination isn't cheap. However, as a season ticket holder I probably get my wear out of it, as I'm more or less guaranteed to pull it on at least forty or fifty times before it's no longer current.

That doesn't sound too bad really but the thing that gets my goat is away shirts. Why should football teams be allowed to sell shirts that they might only wear once or twice over the course of a season for forty quid? It's just ridiculous.

Away shirts should be cheap football shirts, simple as that. I think a fair price would be thirty quid for adults and twenty for kids. That's currently a tenner cheaper than most retail for.

I mean, how many kids beg for these shirts every year and then refuse to wear them after what seems a couple of months because they're no longer current? Even die hard fans that go to every match, home and away can only expect to be showing the right colours on the odd occasion.

Maybe I'm just mad to think that in this day in age when everything in football is geared towards business, that some of the clubs might give us a break and sell football shirts for a fraction cheaper.

What's even more painful is if you've got a naff manufacturer. I mean, if you're shopping for sports clothes you wouldn't pay the same price for a Jako sports shirt (that's a real make) as you would a Nike one would you? So why just because they have a couple of badges on should this be the case?

Even before LeBron James entered the National Basketball Association, the whole nation has already fallen in love with him. During his time with St. Vincent - St. Mary High School, he has been the subject of features from USA Today, Sports Illustrated and ESPN Magazine.

No other high school player has gotten that much national attention other than LeBron (other high school NBA draftees like Kevin Garnett and Tracy McGrady only made their names known after playing for the professional league). There are many different football defence and offence formations and plays that are available today for a coach to choose. With a click of the mouse one can find an endless amount of information and ideas on team systems and philosophies on the internet.

But what is the best one suited for you or better yet, suited for your football team? We all have our favourite defence or offence that we would love to play and implement. However, the point we would like to make is that it's quite probable that your favourite defence you like and want to play is outside the reach of your player's abilities. It's important as a coach that you evaluate your teams abilities and static factors. Static factors would be the unchangeable such as size, strength, athletic ability,speed, desire, and determination. Basically, things that are presented to you that you have no control over. Once you determine these factors its up to you as the coach to select the right systems that your players will thrive in based on their abilities. The worst thing you can do is select a system that will be too much for your team to handle. In the end, it will come back to haunt you!

In most programs testing these factors is done in the early days of your training camp. The coaches will chart, record, and monitor the different strengths and weakness of each player. From that point, they will discuss the type of offence and defence that they will implement in order to get the very best from their players abilities. Perhaps you have a large group of solid offensive linemen and a few good athletes. Probably your evaluation based on these factors is that you will build your offence around your O-line and be a running football team. Or defensively you might evaluate that you don't have a lot of D-lineman or good size so you compensate by playing a scheme like a 3-4 in order to take advantage of your speed at the linebacker and safety positions. Either or, you've selected a scheme that is within your player's abilities.

By doing this you will get the best possible system that your players will thrive in as it will be designed around their strengths. they will gain confidence in it, and no doubt, be tough to play against.

A lot of coaches make the mistake of implementing systems just because they like them and ignore the static factors. For the most part, we are coaching programs when we are dealt our players. There's no recruiting process to get players in that will thrive under the system we like. Therefore we can only play the hand we are dealt and that means it's important to get a handle on the static factors so that we can implement the best possible defence, offence, or special teams.

When children leave the child's bed or not.

There's really no particular time you should move your child to a toddler bed, but most children make the transition when they are either too big or too active for a crib. As a parent, both my children were moved to a toddler bed around the age 2. The thing that helped my wife and I to decide is when we started to notice how tall they were standing in a crib along with their climbing capabilities. I also have a third child who in a few months will be moving to a toddler bed. And since he's been watching his brother and sister play on their beds, I don't think we'll have a difficult time introducing him to his new bed. On a side note, they say (and I have witnessed this first hand) that children without brothers or sisters have a harder time making the transition to a toddler bed.

When you plan to move your toddler to a bed, it's not a decision that should be rushed. It's a decision you should be anticipating, but at the same time, you don't want to move your toddler to a bed if he or she is not ready. During this time you should also be lowering the crib base which can give you additional time, if you're toddler's not ready yet.

Since every child is different, they will react differently once they start sleeping in another bed. Some might have a hard time adjusting if they are very attached to their crib, while others will transition seamlessly. It's also a good idea to plan this milestone since it might coincide with other milestones like potty training.

Once you start the transition, it's a good idea to get a bed your child will like. For example, if your child likes cars, you might consider buying him a toddler bed that looks like a car. My son's first bed was a fire truck bed. It had a light, which doubled as a night light and a bell. We also put in several of his favorite toys and his sleeping blanket. Jersey Frames - Perfect For the Sports Look

My brother is a huge sports fan. He loves all sports and when he was building his dream home he decided that an important part of his home was a game room. It wasn't just a game room, but it was a room that he wanted to have the atmosphere of a sports bar. We teased him about it, but when it was finished we couldn't believe all that he had done. He made sure that the room had a bunch of televisions, a pool table, air hockey and other activities. You felt like you were at any professional sports bar out there.

As we were talking to him and getting the tour of his house I asked him where he found frames that were so perfect for the jerseys. They sat perfectly in the frames. They stood out with the perfect background behind the jerseys. He said that they were actually jersey frames and that were made to work with jerseys. I had never thought about finding jersey frames.

After walking through his sports room and the atmosphere my boys were so excited to get those jersey frames and make their room just as perfect as their uncle's sports room.

Fantasy Football Sleepers - Defense Rankings Fantasy Football 2009

It is hard to say that there are sleepers at the Defensive Fantasy Football position. You will be picking no sooner than the last 2 rounds. But when you realize that some doofus will pick Pittsburgh's defense in round 12, and other owners will follow his lead, you need to know who to pick in the last 2 rounds that will give you round 12 production. Team Defenses and Special Teams are up next in our Fantasy Sleeper series.

As far as defense rankings fantasy football owners need not worry too much. Couple that with the knowledge that the difference in the best Fantasy defense and the 12th is negligible, and you will see why you should be picking this position in the last two rounds of your Draft. Since what you are really picking here is a group of individuals instead of a single player, like your other fantasy positions, you can see that making predictions is even harder. A single injury can decimate a Team D. Just ask anyone who drafted the Charger's D last year in a middle round.

Sleeper #1

The Seattle Seahawks have the 3rd easiest schedule for Team Defenses to produce against. Head Coach Jim Mora and Defensive Coordinator Gus Bradley, formerly Tampa Bay's Linebacker's coach, both believe in a blitzing, attacking D. Just 2 seasons ago Seattle was the 7th ranked Fantasy D, and they have athletes at every position. Their Offense put a lot of pressure on this unit last year, and with the return of a healthy WR corps, and healthy QB in Matt Hasselbeck, I believe you can pick this D comfortably knowing they will be a great value with your last pick.

Sleeper #2

The Arizona Cardinals are facing the 9th best situation for a Team D in 2009. What is even better is their schedule in weeks 14 - 17, Fantasy Football Playoff time. They face the third easiest schedule for Defenses during that stretch. This is a team that immediately brings to mind high-powered offense, but has finished ranked in the top 10 fantasy wise the last three years, adding a whopping 14 TD returns the last two seasons. This is a very solid pick as a sleeper come Draft Day.

Sleepers mean value, and that is really what you want to be thinking every round. What is the best value here? Am I overpaying? Can I still make this pick in a couple of rounds? Do not get caught up in the Defense run in rounds 12 - 14. When they think of defense rankings fantasy football owners should think last round, and get one of the sleepers mentioned above. 1. Swim Move:

The Swim Move is a favorite pass rushing technique of many defensive linemen and can be the most dangerous. The pass rusher has to rise up above the blocker, however if done properly it can be one of the easiest ways to successfully rush the passer. Timing is key to a successful Swim Move, the D-linemen must beat the blocker off the snap of the ball.

Next comes a jab step designed to get the blocker off balance. This is when the defender step one direction while intending to move another. This is followed by a short balanced step using the jab foot, bring it in front of the blocker in the opposite direction. Typically the blocker will follow the first step, the jab step, and find himself off balance.

At the same time the pass rusher brings his inside arm up and reaching out to the back of the blocker, pulling the O-lineman forward, exploiting his lack of balance and swim through the offensive line to effectively rush the passer.

Once the defender swims through the line, he wants to be running at the quarterback with his hands up, fully extending and waving his arms. This puts him in position to disrupt the play by temporarily blocking the quarterback's vision, tip the ball, knock the ball down, or make the pick. At the same time he is poised to make the quarterback rush his throw or sack the quarterback. If he can sack the QB with his arms raised the defender can bring his hands down with more force to attack the ball and possibly force the fumble.

The Trap Play - The Giant Killer of Youth Football Plays

The mistake many of us coaches make is we stop asking questions or doing research once we get a so called answer to a question. Most of us take the easy way out, especially if it validates our preconceived notions. I'm here to tell you there are hundreds if not thousands of very successful youth football teams all across America pulling and trapping all the way down to age 6. I personally coached an age 6-8 team and we pulled and trapped very well. Not as well as Ross LeGrande, Ross is from Ohio and his age 7-8 team was the best looking trapping team I had ever seen. His team was the master of running the off-tackle and blocking back trap. In many of the games I saw of his Championship teams, they ran just 3 plays, the off-tackle, trap and counter and by golly the trap made up about 40% of their snaps.

Many of the guys that e-mail me tell me that the Blocking Back trap out of the Single Wing Offense, what we call "31 Trap", is one of the best if not the best football plays they run. Don S in Maryland averaged nearly 20 yards a carry with it last season for his age 8-10 kids. It is one of my all-time favorite football plays, yet many people think you have to have a bunch of Einsteins on your youth football team to run it. That is simply not true. I've seen film of hundreds of youth teams pulling and trapping well as well as have personally coached 5 different youth football teams that had zero problems doing so. Keep in mind, I'm the offensive line coach and I never played offensive line at any level and we probably practice less than you do.

The trap is a great football play for a whole variety of reasons. In our offense we like to double team block defensive tackles. We rarely have the size or athleticism on our offensive line to move anyone very well one-on-one, so we like to use double team blocks and wedge blocks. Once that defensive tackle starts getting moved backwards with double teams and wedge blocks, he starts coming real hard, real fast and real low, if he doesn't we are going to steam roll him all day. Once he starts coming hard, we just let him come through free and BAMMO he gets clobbered by a pulling guard coming out of nowhere and it usually means a huge gain for us.

SO WHAT DOES THE Defensive Tackle DO NOW? Should he play it slow and get blown back by double team and wedge blocks all day long or should he charge in real low and fast and get blindsided by a pulling guard with a full head of steam, hmmmm, quandry. This has been a great tactic for us when we play a team that has a very dominating defensive tackle that is eating our lunch, we trap him a few times and man oh man does he slow down, the brakes come on. Then when he slows down to "read" the play he gets steamrolled by our double teams and wedge blocks, what's the poor kid to do? He ends up playing tenative and our problem is solved.

Think about it, last season was there a team you faced that had a defensive lineman that was dominating your team? Wouldn't it have been nice to have a series of football plays that would have neuturalized him? I get sick of youth football coaches saying ONE PLAYER beat them, good football coaches figure out ways to stop one player.

Pulling is very simple to teach and is covered with 3 simple coaching points starting on page 218 of the book. Dave Rimington the former Outland Trophy Winner and College Football Hall of Famer said we were teaching it just right, he wouldn't change a thing. Our trap scheme is on page 167 of the book and can be run out of nearly every football play series you run. Don't exclude the trap from what you run at the youth level because you have never run it before or have not taught kids how to trap block in the past. The trap is simple to teach and is a very dangerous football play. The trap works better the better the team you are playing is.

Unlike the reverse the trap hits much quicker and can work against even very fast teams. The reverse has little chance versus very athletic teams that can run plays down. The trap hits quickly and gets the ball upfield much faster than any reverse plays, it is a low risk, high reward play.

Of course one of the caveats is do not needlessly waste football practice time on a bunch of mindless drills, cals and conditioning. Teach the kids how to play football well,how to block and pull perfectly, not be pushup or agility drill champions. The right football practice methodology and priorities along with the right football plays make facing teams that trap well a real nightmare to play.

This area of the tennis shoe is particularly vulnerable because most right-handed players drag their right foot when serving, and often when executing forehand groundstrokes.

Tennis players that play primarily on soft court surfaces (i.e. clay) should select tennis shoes that are comfortable and provide good traction. Durability is less of a concern. It is also vital that the tennis shoe have a smooth, flat sole. The knobs and bumps found on the soles of running shoes and cross-trainers can damage clay court surfaces. In fact, most clay court facilities do not allow players to wear such shoes, instead requiring appropriate tennis shoes.

Feet and body characteristics are an important consideration when selecting tennis shoes. People who are prone to blisters must wear tennis shoes that fit properly and are well cushioned. Advances in tennis shoe technology have created cushioning systems that are lighter, more comfortable, and better at removing moisture. Body type is also an important consideration in tennis shoe selection. For example, larger and heavier players may prefer heavier shoes that provide extra support.

Finally, as with all types of shoes, personal preference and taste often determines what type of tennis shoe a person purchases. Many players desire a tennis shoe with a certain look or color scheme. On a more functional level, some players may select lightweight tennis shoes in an effort to enhance foot speed and agility.
